SF collectibles book at Chapters

Not that I needed any more of these, but I was at Chapters the other day checking out the discount books can came across a Miller's Sci-Fi and Fantasy Collectibles hardback for only 2 bucks. For just a twonie it's a great reference book with plenty of pictures to take a ride down memory lane. It's not a comprehensive book at all, but it does try to cover all the bases/categories. And it's cheaper than a cup of trendy coffee!

I got mine

Funny you should mention it, but I just bought the same book this afternoon for the same measly price. I also picked up a large softcover art book called 50 Years in Space: What We Thought We Knew. It collects old paintings from the 50s to the 70s of the planets, stars and other celestial objects and examines how they were created based on the science of the time and how it compares to our knowledge of today. It was also an incredible $2.

Amy and Jordan

I also picked up another book for $2. But it wasn't SF related so I left it out of my original post. It's a collected comic strip of "Amy and Jordan". I really have no idea of what it's all about, but the back cover had a few nice words to say about the strip by Daniel Clowe, of "Ghost World" fame. I figured if it's anything like that, I'll like it.:

Having now read the reviews on the Amazon link (since I needed a link to post here), I'm almost sure to enjoy it.

PS: I'm in Montreal at the moment and might give you a call at one point as I have something to drop off. No promises though
