The news isn't all bad for fans of science fiction television
If you believe some observers, the recent spate of cancellations of genre shows on TV is proof that the genre is dying out on television, but shows are always being cancelled and there are always new ones to replace them. This article looks at some of the genre shows that are in the pipeline.
Okay, maybe upon closer examination calling many of those shows science fiction is a stretch, but there are clearly some that qualify.
The news isn't all bad for fans of science fiction on the boob tube. Fringe has been renewed for another season and there are even new episodes of Futurama on the way.
And fans of Doctor Who are salivating at the prospect that Neil Gaiman will be writing an episode for the seminal series.

Not too sure about many of those shows myself. But it funny how something can sound ridiculous in a blurb, but when fully put together with the right script and people, work out in the end. In the comics-to-TV picks, I'd like to see "Walking Dead". As much as I thought I'd seen enough of Star Wars, a GOOD episodic TV would be nice. But I'm not holding my breath for that one.

Now that is good news. I heard the show wasn't doing all that well which was surprising since not only do I think it is great, but others who've bothered to watch all seem to like it as well. It's the best thing on right now from my meager TV viewing P.O.V. I'm just still amazed how a show can be so much like The X-Files and yet not seem repetitive at all.
I heard that the last episosed of Heroes, the very episode where I called it quits on the show, seems to have wrapped up the story I found boring (so I'm told anyway). I may give it one more chance with the next episode to see if it can be put back on the rails.
